This reel explains upcoming changes to ISA rules in the UK, effective April 2027. The total ISA allowance remains £20,000, but for those under 65, only £12,000 can be held in a cash ISA. A new rule introduces a 22% charge on interest earned on uninvested cash within stocks and shares ISAs, which will be auto-deducted. Money market funds, while offering low risk, will no longer be treated as pure cash and will be subject to this charge if they don't make up 100% of the account.
